This post is a few weeks old now but just in case anyone else has the same problems in the future...I received the same error message as the original poster when logged in with Google Chrome. I switched back over to Internet Explorer to log in, and the problem went away (after OK'ing the yellow Active X warning pop up at the top of the screen).

Hi Brent,

Assuming that the key things that you've been asked to check are true, i.e.

  1. Your USB dongle is plugged in and its light is on.
  2. You are using Internet Explorer (not FireFox/Chrome/Safari which do not support ActiveX)

then this is likely to be caused by your current security settings in Internet Explorer.  A quick way to resolve this is to add the Stardraw.com domain to your list of trusted sites. To do this, follow this procedure:

  1. In Internet Explorer select Tools | Internet Options
  2. Go to the Security tab and click on Trusted Sites
  3. Click on the Sites button and add http://www.stardraw.com to the list of trusted websites (you may need to uncheck “Require server verification ( https: ) for all sites in this zone”). Click on the Close button.
  4. In the Security tab click on the Default Level button then move the Security Level slider to Low.
  5. Click on OK.
  6. Close all instances of Internet Explorer, then open a new instance and try the renewal again.

Does this resolve the issue?

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

Ok, I have tried to "re-subscribe" via the pop up, but nothing happens but the the web site popping up on the screen.. So I used explorer to look at the web site, and try to resubscribe I get the following:

Unable to Continue

The action you have selected cannot be continued. Please check that the following are true then retry:

You have Administrative Privileges on your computer. More...

You are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. More...

You have clicked to confirm installation of required ActiveX controls. More...

If installing demo software, you have not installed an earlier demo more than 30 days ago. More...

If you are a licensed user, your dongle is plugged in. More...

If i use the "Retry Now" I just get "your Dongle Details"

This is really frustrating...... and has burned an hour of my time... Somebody owes me $125.00 (:

Brent
