When I create a symbol in Block view, how do I then create a custom rack drawing and have the two sync up, so the next time I use the symbol in block view, then convert to rack view, the rack drawing I created imports to rack view?

You must ensure that the path and name of the symbols you create are exactly equivalent.  So if you have:

     Blocks | ACME Electronics | ABC-001

for the Convert to Rack function to work you must have:

     Racks | ACME Electronics | ACB-001

Note that paths and filenames are case-sensitive.
