+x+xObviously, new features that add value to an application and innovations that are being developed are privileged information; in a competitive environment one does not publish to the whole world the things that are planned to maintain one's advantages.
If you know anything about developing software you will already know that deadlines can be missed - case in point the Dark Mode feature which began this thread - often due to unforeseen circumstances or, as here, matters outside of one's own control. It is therefore ill-advised to announce release details in advance; our approach is that updates will be released when they're ready, and no one - not even us - knows when that will be.
Hi Rob, we have about 30 software developers in our company as our AV installations run on our own software solutions. So I would say we know something about it (wink). It's very normal and professional to have a road map and a release schedule. Serious clients expect this, for good reason. Of course, things can go differently than expected, and features will be pushed to the next release. It's software, that happens. But having absolutely nothing doesn't inspire much trust. Our single line drawings are an essential piece of our Delivery organisation. Part of our Stardraw evaluation is to understand if the product is actively and professionally developed. We cannot invest our resources (time, money, training) into something that might not be there in 5 years. Especially now that everyone (D-tools, Artura, Jetbuilt, Xten etc.) are coming out with integrated tools for single line drawings.

Allow me to add some clarification...
Of course, we have an internal road map and a release schedule. In fact, we have recently released Stardraw Design 7.4 and we are currently putting together a development plan for Stardraw Design 7.5 that includes feature requests from our 40,000 users in 91 countries (we have been doing this for 34 years).
We do not disclose the release date nor the confirmed set of features until we are closer to that release date at which point we will enter into a Beta Program to allow early feedback from passionate users.
It would be a mistake to announce the full set of features planned for the next release as companies have literally died doing so:

We prefer to sell what we have today rather than what we might have tomorrow. Is there a particular feature that you require or something that you are trying to do that Stardraw Design 7.4 is unable to accomplish?
The list of features that we add is purely based on User feedback. If enough users want something we try very hard to add it to the next release which is why, after 34 years, our software has grown to be extremely popular, powerful, flexible, easy to use and a valuable Design Tool for all our customers.
I would recommend downloading a fully working version for free from our website that can save and print for 30 days.
