Oh yeah, I tried restarting Stardraw 7.1 numerous times, I restarted my computer at least three times, I checked for updates and after that initial one, none came up, until this morning it said there was an update. I never saved the file on Saturday, being afraid that I might permanently lose them. I've sent them to your techsupport email, hopefully you can retrieve them.

I, too, have now lost critical drawings for a very large client.  Not happy.

UPDATE: Not sure why/how, but things appear back to 'normal'.  Closed/reopened SD several times, edited copied files that had been edited last week (file timestamps unchanged).  A bit nervous but working....

Hi Wolf,
Thanks for sending the Project.  It did contain the 3 drawing tabs, but we noticed that the Drawing Type was set to "None".  This is something that was not understood by SD7.1, so while the drawings were there, the application could not display them.

We have now published an update to SD7.1 that resolves this - please Accept Updates and load up the project file; all will be well.

So, how did this happen?  First of all it has got nothing to do with the recent update.

We suspect that - knowingly or unknowingly - you created the project in SD7.0. This older version could create drawings of Type "None" if, for example, they were imported from DWG.  My hunch is that you either ran SD7.0 by mistake or you may have doubleclicked on a DWG and you have a file association between DWG and SD7.0,  then you might have worked on the file not realizing that you were in 7.0 all along.  Later you ran SD7.1, opened the file, and the drawings of type "None" were not displayed.

We recommend that you uninstall SD7.0, leaving SD7.1 as the only version of Stardraw Design on your machine.

Having said all of that, I reiterate that the update just published will solve the problem you faced, which was an effect of an extreme edge-case, and will also cater for any future cases where a currently unsupported drawing type was created by an older version of Stardraw Design.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

That did it! This job could very well have been created in 7.0 but I have done extensive work on it in 7.1. Any way, the drawings are there and I truly appreciate the quick response and turnaround on this. I have uninstalled 7.0 from my system. I hadn't done that before thinking that 7.1 just added to it and that it was still required. Its gone now.

Thanks once again.
