Hi All,
I would like to make a pictorial schematic as simple (light) as possible and then want to show some products with a single label: the Product Information (Name) filled in Properties window.
And not showing manufacturer and model number in two lines as it is by default.
E.g.:
A Panasonic TX-L55WT65B would be labelled 'TV'
A Vivitek DH765Z-UST would be labelled 'Projector'
Any idea how to do that ?
Side question:
I've seen in the video 'Working with Attributes in Products' #13 from 00:20 that manufacturer and model number are displayed on one line not two lines. How is it done ?
Thanks
Hughes

Hey Rob,
I'm attempting to follow your instruction for associating an attribute with a label inside a UDP. I'm unable to select an attribute for a label - it reads (none) and there are no other choices in the drop-down. What am I missing here?
Thanks!

Hi Hughes,
Apologies - I wasn't completely clear on this technique.
You can use the technique to choose a Text attribute in the Properties Grid only when you're in a project drawing, after you have inserted the symbol into the drawing.
If you want to have a text field in a UDP that is permanently associated with an Attribute you need to have a text object in the UDP of the format "[AttributeName]". There's a movie called Text Attributes that details this method, #17 at
