Dear Friends,
How can I add attributes to a cable (ex: in and out connector types)?
Actually, I am doing this with the Edit Attributes Tool, one by one.
Would it be possible to draw new cables already with the my new attributes?
Thank you

Hi Falf,

There are several ways this can be done - here are a couple that might suit your purposes:

1) Using "Symbol_xxxxxxxxx" Attribute in the Document
"Symbol_" attributes are added to every cable, dogleg and symbol that is added to the document.
a) Display the Document Properties sheet (doubleclick anywhere on the document, or rightclick and select Properties) and go to the Attributes tab.
b) Create a new Attribute with the prefix "Symbol_", e.g. "Symbol_StartConnector" and click on OK
c) Draw a Cable or Dogleg - you will see that it now includes an Attribute called "StartConnector"

You could add this attribute to the Document template (found in the Templates directory under the main Stardraw program installation directory) to cause the same effect in every document based on that template.

2) Modifying Multiple Objects
After you have created the cables you could select them all, then press Alt+Enter to bring up the Properties Sheet for the Multiple Selection, then click on the Modify button and create the new Attributes you want - they will be added to every object in the selection.

I hope this is helpful - please let me know if I've missed the point or if none of these methods meet your needs well enough.

Kind regards

Rob

Thanks, Rob,
I have created some attributes and I'm making reports with them.
It's easy now, I have created a new document template.
(I used the multiple selection before, but only one cable was changed.)
Thanks again.
