Was the dongle inserted when the program started up?  If not, the application would have displayed the message that it is running in Demo Mode and saving and printing are disabled.  Plugging the dongle in after program startup does not enable saving and printing.

What dongle number and application name is shown when you select Help | About Stardraw?  What Site Code is displayed when you then click on the Security button?
