Hi Bob,

Default user file locations in the latest version are different from those in previous versions.  From your old machine you should copy "Stardraw Offline.mdb" to:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardraw.com Ltd\Stardraw AV 2007\

overwriting the copy of "Stardraw Offline.mdb" that is already there.

You should also verify that the new install is looking for Offline Libraries in the correct location by running Stardraw AV 2007 and selecting Options | Library Directories

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

Thanks Rob, that did the trick.

One issue though - I followed the instructions and pointed the new version to the Offline Libraries, My Libraries and Temlates and Reports.  Everything shows up EXCEPT the offline libraries, which is empty (I did copy the folders from my old hard drive over to the new computer).

On my old pc, I had over 100 manufacturers loaded and available.  However, looking at the actual folder that I moved over where offline libraries are, I only see about 20 (but I still can't see even those within the Stardraw program's Library List on the left side of the screen).

Thanks,

Bob.

Assuming you have, at some point, had a license for the 2007 version of your product, then you can install the latest version of the software, even if you do not have a current subscription.  The subscription delivers data updates, access to online services and technical support, so these will not be available, but you can always install the latest version of your 2007 product.

It sounds as though what you want to do is to install to a new machine and then copy over the Stardraw symbols and user symbols from an existing installation.  To do this, and assuming you are using Stardraw AV 2007, follow the procedure at:

http://www.stardraw.com/products/stardrawav/installer.asp

Our subscription has expired, we typically renew every other year.

I'm trying to backup and re-install on a new machine.  I followed the directions in the FAQ to do this, and I have my dongle.

But I just can't get past the "updater" screen, which tells me to download the latest version.

Since our subscription is not current, I assumed that this newest software release is not going to work for me.  Am I wrong?  Is that what I should do anyway?  If  not, how do I get back to using my old program?

Thanks
