Hi Craig,

Thanks for your post - this is the first time that anything like this has been reported.

Parport.sys is a Windows core system file.  It is the parallel port driver and when Stardraw AV starts up, it may check for the presence of a dongle on the parallel port(s) through a third party process called Sentinel.  We phased out parallel port dongles several years ago, so this should only occur on very old installations.

We suspect that if you install the latest Sentinel driver it should solve the problem.  You can download the driver from http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp

Please let us know if this resolves the issue.  If it does not, there are some other avenues that we can explore.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

My laptop crashes consistently everytime I run Stardraw, unless it's from a fresh reboot. The blue screen appears and complains about a "parport.sys" error. Anyone heard of that?
