Hi Hanspeter,

When Stardraw AV 2007 starts up it initalizes your local installation of Excel to access the External Datasource which is saved in your Stardraw installation folder as "Stardraw AV 2007  System Attributes.xls".  This file is Excel 2003 .xls format.

Open the .XLS file that’s in your Stardraw installation folder (normally C:\Program Files\Stardraw.com Ltd\Stardraw AV 2007\Stardraw AV 2007  System Attributes.xls) in Excel 2007 and save it selecting “.XLS Excel 93-2003 workbook” in the Save as Type dropdown. The message should no longer appear.

I hope this is helpful.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

when starting Stardraw A/V 2007 it does not open but hangs as there is a conflict with EXCEL 2007. In EXCEL it generates a message (pop-up window) "The file you are trying to open 'Stardraw AV 2007 System Attributes.xls' is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Do you want to open the file now?". If have to click on yes, and then return to Stardraw to open it.

I assume this has to do with the file extension used in EXCEL 2007, being .xlsx rather than .xls

Any way to get rid of this?

Thanks & Best Regards
