We are hard at work on the next version of Stardraw and while the feature list hasn't been nailed down yet, one feature that we will definitely add is to have scripting support which means that even if calculation of square meters doesn't get into the next version, you could write a script to allow you to add this functionality very easily.

This sounds like a good idea.

We will add this to a future version of Stardraw.

I use Stardraw also for designing loudspeaker cabinets. One tool that i miss is a function to automatic calculate the square meter of a certain polygon/rektangle/circle or square. With this function it will be much easier to calculate to volume of a speaker or special part of it. Also during prototype construction with changes made into the drawing the volume will be easier to calculate and to simplify. To have this either under the properties or under view/rmc could be good. Is this a function that you think could be made?

Thanks Robert
