Hi there,
I’m starting a new thread because the previous one was from six years ago.
I’m trying to import DWG files with circles or round shapes, but the circles end up looking strange. Here’s a screenshot for reference.
Additionally, the dimensions aren’t accurate. They appear correct in CAD, but when I import them into StarDraw, I have to scale them by 2444% to get them close to the actual size.
I’ve checked the DWG file using multiple DWG software and viewers, and it shows the circles and sizes as expected.
Thanks,

Hi Debbio,

Thanks for your post.  Without seeing the exact data that you're working with it is hard to be certain of the issue but, from the screengrab, I suspect that the objects that you are importing which do not look right are not 'circles' or 'arcs' but instead smooth polylines, or 'splines', some variants of which are not supported.

Please email the problematic file(s) to techsupport@stardraw.com and we will be happy to investigate further.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

For those following this thread, full support for Splines has been added in the update to Stardraw Design 7.4 published on April 3rd and the DWG that the OP had trouble with in earlier versions now imports perfectly.
For full details of this substantial update see https://www.stardraw.com/sd7/support/changelogs/changelog250403

Kind regards,
