Hey guys,

Have now had this issue twice which is extremely frustrating. I was working on a large schematic and saved it. Went to open it the following day and the schematics were gone, was just an empty save file with the customer details, job name etc.
This happened once prior, though I didn't think much of it, took it as a one off.

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't afford for this to happen again as I lost hours of work losing the large schematics I had built.

Can you email the project file that exhibits the problem to techsupport@stardraw.com? We will be happy to investigate.

Also, please include details of the full filepath location used to store the file and whether there is anything special about that location e.g. it is a Dropbox-monitored folder.

Kind regards,

For those following the thread we believe that the explanation for the OP's issue is that he mistakenly overwrote the project containing data with a new project that contained no products or drawings. This could happen if, when closing Stardraw Design 7.3, you choose to save a newly-created project and assign to it an existing filename and location: even though you're asked if you are sure you want to overwrite the existing file we can see that it would be relatively easy to make such a mistake.

We will be looking at a small change in the workflow to make it even less likely that a user can mistakenly overwrite an existing project with a new, empty one.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson
