Hi Again,
I am completing a lot of movement within my layout to determine best presentation, generally this all goes well, however I notice that some cables allow free adjustment to their turns/segment if i move a symbol up and down for example, yet on other occasions  the turn/segment  junction remain locked to its position and does not move why would this be?

Please see example Video if you can?....

The cable segment moves fully with the symbol if the cable segment is exactly horizontal.  If only one end of the segment moves it means that the segment is not exactly horizontal, even if it looks like it is; a fraction of a degree off horizontal is enough to cause this behavior.

The best way to ensure the segment is horizontal is to make sure both ends are on gridpoints.

This issue can often be caused by a symbol that is slightly off the grid.  This can be corrected by selecting the symbol, then rightclick and choose Align Origins to Grid.  Assuming the symbol is drawn correctly - Stardraw library symbols will be drawn correctly but we cannot guarantee that your custom symbols of UDPs are - then this will return the IO stubs to gridpoints and all should be well.

Sometimes, though, you may also need to move the other, unconnected end of the segment back onto a gridpoint too.

I hope this helps, and if you have continuing problems please feel free to email the project file to techsupport@stardraw.com

Kind regards,

Yes - this does appear to be the issue, somehow a small amount of off grid movement has snuck into my layout - thanks again.
