I am having a hard time with the Cable Label tool. I am finding that I am repeatedly having to change labels or delete all the labels on a drawing. It is actually easier to delete all the cables and start over than it is to change the names.

It would be great if there was a way of doing this. You could erase labels with the Label tool by using a new value = blank string and just clicking on the cable.

Or if there was a list that could be selected and then delete a column of names.

Do people usually wait until the last minute to label cables? It seems like I am doing it at the wrong point.

Hi Hendrik,

I think you may have answered your own question at the end of your post: if you find that when you enter labels early that you later need to go back to remove or change those labels, just change your workflow so that you enter the labels at the end, when all of the other factors in the system are known.

You can always eliminate the display of labels on multiple cables by selecting those cables and using the Properties Grid to, for example, replace existing characters with a space, but I think the right solution is to enter label values as one of the final actions in the design of your system.

Kind regards,
