Dear All,
I noticed strange behaviour with created UDP. I made one with text fields as attributes (It works for me in other UDPs).
The UDP:

When I inserted the UDP to the drawing everything looks good:

But, when I tried to fill the attribute text appears in expected place, but also in another three ones:

Adding next attributes made situation worst:

Any idea what I made wrong?

Best Regards
Maciej

Hi Maciej,

Without looking at the original UDP symbol and the actual project file I can only guess.

I suspect the bad text in the UDP symbol has been copied from somewhere else where its link to a text attribute is already defined.

In the drawing, use the Unlock Cursor to select the bad text and check the value of "Text Attribute" in the Properties Grid.

In the Symbol Editor do the same check - this should reveal where the issue lies.

Kind regards,

You're right. There is wrong text attribute:

But, I'm not able to find this object in the UDP.

Hi Maciej,

Without examining the original UDP symbol I can only make a guess; perhaps you have a group for the button and text object, but the text object could be empty.  If the button is a group can you ungroup it and find/delete the text object?  Or use the Unlock Cursor to select/delete anything inside the button?

Kind regards,
