I‌'ve tried to close all other programs and run the update 'as administrator' from the program files folder, but it still returns the same error message.

I suspect you have another instance of Stardraw Design 7.3 running.

Open Windows Task Manager ‌(e.g. rightclick on the Windows taskbar and choose Task Manager) and in the Processes tab, for any instances of "Stardraw Design 7.3" select and click on the End Task button.

R‌ebooting your computer would be another way to achieve this.

N‌ow run SD7.3 and Accept Updates as normal.

D‌oes this solve your problem?‌‌‌

I've tried, but it doesn't help.
I‌ tried uninstalling and also deleting all files that were still in the Program files folder.
T‌hen reïnstalled.
rebooted PC.
N‌othing in the task manager processes list that I would link to Stardraw
S‌till the same error message when trying to update...

A‌nything else that might cause this error?‌

Did you try to run StarDraw as Administrator?

Are you using a proxy server or some other software that sits between your machine and the internet?  If so, can you bypass this or connect to the internet directly?
