With what has been described so far I would simply think of it as there being a control plane (front) and a connection plane (rear) and if you're just looking at the rack, the Front plane is effectively the Top view and the Rear plane is effectively the Bottom view.I hope this makes sense and is helpful.

This orientation doesn't show the rack rails or how the equipment would be mounted inside the rack because it's only showing the exterior. This would need to be shown in a top view with the door open. With a floor mounted rack you can see all of the equipment, the front faces and rear faces. Is there a way in Stardraw to show a similar view using the rack below?

Is there a way in Stardraw to show a similar view using the rack below?The symbols for the WRS and WRP wall-mount racks were originally intended for use in the Racktools application, which as you may already know was a Stardraw application that we wrote for Middle Atlantic.As such these symbols were authored with a different intent than that of Stardraw Design 7 symbols and do not address the problem of placing rack-mountable symbols in these wall-mount racks.I’m pleased to report that we’ve now re-authored the WRS and WRP symbols to contain views that facilitate the placement of rack-mountable symbols in them.The new symbols will be available the next time you run SD7 and synchronization completes. Note: You can turn on/off the Enhanced Front and Rear View layers from the Layers control to show/hide any objects that would otherwise be overlapped by a rack mount symbol being placed in the rack e.g rack screw holes, fan guards, knockouts etc..
