Thank you Rob,

It is so meaningful, I get the logic of schematics.

Hi Bora,

The omission of cables when you convert from one environment to another is not an error, but is by design.  Different environments use different symbol standards and are intended for different purposes.

Block Schematics show full system interconnection and identify every input and output on a product.  Symbols are schematized so that they work well together.

Pictorial Schematics are designed to show engineering intent, but not detail.  They are intended to give an overview of a system to a non-technical audience, but do not deal with every single input and output.  Symbols look like the real product, so the layout must necessarily be different from the Block Schematic equivalent.  Aesthetics are important in a Pictorial Schematic.

Rack Layouts are not designed to show interconnection, but the position of equipment within the rack.

The Convert To... function is designed to be a timesaver - it assembles all of the appropriate products from one drawing into another.  However, because different environments have different layout and interconnection philosophies it would be impossible for a computer to organize and interconnect the products.

I hope this makes sense.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

Hi,

I draw some works about general sounding (mic+dvdplayers+mixeramp+loudspeakers). I draw their block schematics and convert them to pictorial and rack schematics. In the block schematic I draw cables as I want. But in the pictorial and rack schematics there is no cable.

Are there any feature to solve this problem ?
