Stardraw applications do not currently include symbols of this type.  Do you know of any other implementations that include this sort of data? How is it represented?  Is a symbol the right way to approach masking, or is it better handled by some sort of drawing tool or function?

Kind regards

Rob

If that is the case im very disapointed with this software. If it is aimed at Event / Lighting design applications then it really should have masking symbols. What theatre / event does not use / have masking????? therefore it should be in the design.

Loads of other lighting cad software includes masking. IE WYSIWYG, LXdesigner.
I do like the software but not having certain things like this at a touch of a button slows the process up loads.

Interestingly yours is the first request for this type of functionality that we have ever had, hence my questions about how you would expect it to be implemented.  However, since Stardraw Lighting 2D has been discontinued since January (with support for existing users continuing until early 2006), I suspect these questions are academic.  Thanks for your comments though.

Kind regards,

I have been using Statdraw for a number of years.

The beauty of Stardraw is that symbols can be added quickly and easily for any product.

Symbols for masking can be created in seconds to exactly your dimensions.

Once created they can be added to the drag & drop library for future use.
