A major update that adds many features and improvements suggested by users in the field:

1. New Scale tool making it easy to define a specific scaling factor in X or Y, or both.  With any selection, choose Arrange | Scale to display the Scale dialog.  Scale factor is entered as a percentage of X or Y (where 100% is unity) and the Maintain Aspect Ratio checkbox, when selected, means that the same scaling factor is applied in both axes when you have entered one value in either X or Y.  The Scale tool is available with any selection, including multiple selections, under the Selection cursor; it is not available when the Unlock cursor is selected.

2. New Rotate tool added to the Arrange menu that makes it possible to enter a specific rotation angle in degrees.

3. Symbol Browser is now available in all drawing types.  The control that contains the Product Browser now has a new, tabbed layout with Symbol Browser shown on the second tab meaning that you can easily insert any custom symbol of .DWG, .DXF, .S01 or any image format, from any folder to which you have access. 

4. Layers dialog now includes “Display Selected” and “Lock Selected” checkboxes which apply to all currently selected layers.  Multiple layers can now be selected using Ctrl+Click, Shift+Click and Ctrl+A combinations to choose many layers at once, to which you can apply the same Display/Locked state.

5. Copy/Paste from Excel: cells copied from an Excel spreadsheet can be pasted directly into any drawing and will look exactly as they did in Excel.  The pasted object is an image so cannot be edited, other than re-sizing, but this ensures that all formatting, borders, fills etc. from Excel are maintained.

6. Improved behavior when manually editing Text that is linked to an Attribute, e.g. the dynamic text fields linked to document attributes in Title Block templates. Manually editing the Text object now updates the underlying Attribute value and updates the displayed text accordingly.

7. Changes to Unlock cursor behavior to prevent destructive or unexpected consequences.  These include better handling of move/delete actions on elements of compound objects i.e. Cables and Dimensions, and clearing the current selection when the Unlock cursor is de-selected.

8. Fix to resizing of images so that the original proportion of the image is preserved when dragging any selection handle with the Shift key held down.

9. Fix to ensure that the application window is always instantiated on an available monitor in multi-monitor configurations where a previously available monitor has been removed since the last SD7.1 session.

10. Fix to prevent crashing bug when the user has attempted to insert a title block into an empty drawing, followed by Ctrl+A.

11. Improvement to the way very tiny text is handled in print, preventing incorrect scaling of minuscule text in print or PDF output.

12. Extra messaging when a change is applied to Selected Manufacturers that highlights the need to allow Synchronization to complete before attempting to use any newly-selected libraries.

13. Improvements to Print dialog that ensure better layout if the dialog is re-sized and add a horizontal scrollbar to the drawings list if drawing names are very long.

14. Fix to Print dialog that might cause the error “Parameter is not valid. at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor(Int32 width, Int32 height, PixelFormat format)” when previewing drawings set to print to very large paper sizes.

15. Fix to ensure that Print Area clipping boundaries are respected when changing page orientation in Print dialog.

16. Fix to prevent crash if no printers are installed.

17. Fix to ensure that if one drawing in a project cannot be loaded, for whatever reason, it does not cause the next drawing(s) in the project to fail to load.

18. Fix to ensure that UDP categories 3 and 4 are displayed when using the Edit Product dialog.

19. Fix to ensure the correct default Proxy Settings are displayed.
