I'm pleased to announce that we have published a fix for this problem.

To get the fix, simply perform a LiveUpdate from the downloads section on our website.

Thank you all for your patience and help in investigating this problem, and please let us know if you find any other problems.

I'm able to write down  "Ä" or "ö" after the latest update.

The only change I have right now:

If you use it you will have a space between the letters.

For example: You will see the word "Köln" -   now in that way "Kö ln".

Regards,

Kyra

Hi David,

so, first I enter just by selecting the text tool and clicking in the drawing. In this case, the umlaut will be written, but with one space after the umlaut.

second, I write in the properties dialog from the text. if I doubleclick on the text with one space after the umlaut, the properties box shows the following:

grn

now, third, I want to correct this thing. After entering the correct signs, these happens:

ngr

copy paste I haven't tried until now. Its not important for me...

The keyboard is a swiss german likre.

Thx and greez

Fabian

One of the features of the latest version of Stardraw is greater support for Cyrillic, Chinese and Japanese characters.

Can you describe exactly how you are entering in Umlauts into Stardraw A/V ?

Are you using the Text Tool, clicking on the document and typing in the Umlauts on your German Keyboard ?

Or, are you entering the characters into a text field in a dialog box - perhaps in the properties of the text object ?

Or, are you pasting the characters in from the clipboard ?

Each scenario will have different solutions.

Hi everybody

we work with Stardraw A/V in a German version. After the update to the latest version we have some troubles with umlauts. Its not possible to enter these signs.

If I open some older projects in the newest version, the umlauts will be replaced with a square named "obj".

Do you have any possible solution for this problem?

greets and thx
