I did a quick search for this and found nothing other than someone asking exactly the same questions. Seeing as there was no reply, and no other questions about it I must have missed something. So at the risk of looking stupid here I go... Whistling

Is there any way to change the size of the dimension arrow? By default this is huge when working in the panel layout module esp. as when you're working down in millimetres spacing it just looks ridiculous. Anything below 15mm involves the arrows completely converging... switching the arrows to the outside of the measurement would be a start, but in any event I'd really like to be able to reduce their overall size. How do I do this?

Second question... is there any way of changing the arrow head size on a regular line? Changing the thickness of the line does increase the size but I end up with massively thick lines both on the screen and printed. If you go for the default 0.1mm the arrow's pretty much non existent. Again how can this be done as I can't see anything obvious.

Cheers, Chris.

And another thought which I've just had, again if I've missed something it'd be nice to know, is that why for the panel layout especially are the circles and rectangles are not created from their centre? Simple example, I'm drawing up a custom panel and require a fixing screw hole and it needs to be a 5.5mm hole on a centre 15mm from the edge of the panel... the only way I can do this is create the circle, move it into place, and then change the grid increments (or sizing) to the point where I can manually move it to the correct position. If I then need to change the hole size for whatever reason I have to go through the whole process again as the dimensions are taken from the point that the circle was created from, meaning that it will be offset again.

If the circle was created from the centre point I could pick where the centre was and manipulate the size around that centre point as much as I needed.

This would also be useful in instances where sockets for example from the library were either slightly wrong, or require a slightly different clearance from a different manufacturer.

Chris.

Hi Chris,

Apologies for the delay in replying.

The short answer is that it is not possible, currently, to adjust arrowhead size. The reason is that linestyles, including arrowheads, are handled by Windows and this is not standard functionality provided by the Windows API.

We will look into writing the custom code required to provide such functionality and of course there are many things that could be done so it would be useful to know what you would expect/need the behavior to be. Is it as simple as setting a fixed height (or length) in 'world' space?

Regarding drawing circles, the option to draw from the center would be sensible and we will add this to the development schedule. For now you might find it useful to employ the Arrange | Align tools to position circles, ellipses etc accurately in relation to the grid or other objects.

Thanks for your input.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson
