Thanks for emailing the files. I'm pleased we were able to provide a solution.
I'm not familiar with the program you use to view JPGs, but I suspect it is a viewer rather than an editor. You might find it beneficial to associate the filetype within another application, even if it's just MS Paint (this gives you the added functionality that if you doubleclick on the bitmap in Stardraw, it will fire up the image in Paint nd allow you to edit it). You can use Windows Explorer to set up file associations: select Tools | Folder Options and go to the File Types tab. Here you can set which application opens which file type.
Alternatively, in Windows Explorer you can rightclick on a file (e.g. a JPG) select Open With, choose the application you want from a list and check the box that reads "Always use this application to open this type of file".
