DWG Import problem - Circles exploding and changing direction from original DWG

Hi Stardraw,

I keep facing a problem when importing dwg files.

Circles used to illustrate furniture and door turning circles etc. are not being imported as they should.

I have exploded and purged the original drawing however I keep getting the same result (please note that the drawing has no blocks):

1 - Furniture when illustrated with part circles are now showing full circles around them with the correct illustration looking like an exploded circular mess.

2 - Door turning circles are incorrect with the circle required missing and the rest of the circle remaining.

Any help would be great - it is taking me a long time trying to edit the drawings of which I can never bring back to the same quality as the existing DWG.

Many thanks,

Mitch

Hi Mitch,

Please email a DWG file that exhibits the problem to techsupport@stardraw.com - we will be happy to investigate but need to see the source data to reproduce the exact cause of the problem.

This is the problem with import of the non full circles (angles only). The sweep angle value was not imported properly (the direction). I got the same for some CAD drawings.

Best Regards
Maciej

Thanks for the reply Maciej.

Have you found a method for fixing this problem?

Many thanks,

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for the help identifying the problem.

We have some further testing to do in-house, but once we're satisfied that the fix is globally applicable we will publish an update to Stardraw Design 7.3 so that all users can benefit.

Thanks again.
