I just downloaded 7.3 a couple days ago and it continues to open in expired demo mode. Can you tell me what I might be doing incorrectly

Thanks‌‌

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your post.

A side effect of transitioning SD7.3 to 64-bit is that older USB dongles – which have only 32-bit drivers – cannot be recognized.  I believe your dongles were first issued in 2002, so they would certainly fall into the category of older dongles!

The immediate and best fix would be to switch your dongle-based licenses to be Cloud-based.  This has all the advantages of hardware-based licensing but none of the disadvantages.

Shall we go ahead and switch your licenses over to be Cloud-based?

Thanks Mike - we have switched your current licenses to be Cloud-based.

Close Stardraw Design 7.3, unplug the dongle and then restart and log in as usual; you’ll see a pop up telling you that licenses are available, giving you the option to take your license to the current machine – it’s as simple as that.

Hi Rob,

I believe I'm in the same boat as Mike. Would you be able to switch me over to cloud based licensing?
Cheers,‌
Marc

Hi Marc,

Exactly right - your dongles date back as far as 2003 and 2007.

We have switched both licenses to the cloud‌; please just unplug the dongle and sign in as usual to take the license you need.
