The Unlock Key is only used as a temporary solution when, for example, a dongle is physically damaged. What we need to do is find out why your installation is not seeing the dongle.
You said that "It worked for less than a day" - are you absolutely certain that you managed to start Stardraw without the demo message displaying?
Can you give us answers to the following questions:
a) What Operating System are you using?
b) What browser and version are you using?
c) Do you have administrative proivleges on th machine you are using?
d) What is shown when you run Stardraw and select Help | About Stardraw? (a screengrab would be helpful)
