Hi,

We have a licence for 2007 AV Lite and I am currently trialing Design 7.
When I export a Design 7 file as a Stardraw AV 2007 file and then try and open it in Stardraw AV Lite I get an Error Message 'Unexpected file format'
The file appears as a Stardraw 2007 AV file to be opened but always get this error.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi Tris,

Can you zip and attach the .S07 project and the exported .S01 file to a post? We will be happy to take a look.

Note that SD7 has functionality that is not supported by older applications, so key elements of the drawing may not be usable in Stardraw AV Lite.

Out of interest, why do you want to import the drawing into the older, less feature-rich application?

Kind regards,

Hi Rob,

Please find zipped drawings attached.
Yes realise there is less functionality, but after the Design 7 trial I will not be able to save or print drawings created in Design 7. Still be able to modify schematics once its expired with AV lite until the purchase of Design 7.

Many thanks

Tris,

If I open up your Stardraw Design 7 Project, navigate to the Block Schematic and Export to a Stardraw AV 2007 file, I can successfully open that file in Stardraw AV 2007.

However, I am unable to open your supplied s01 file. We have examined the contents of the file and we do not recognise any of it.

Where did this come from?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem exporting back to AV2007. I've got a few trail diagrams done in SD7 that I'd like to keep working with AV2007 until I'm ready to switch. The exporting from the block schematic window did not fix the problem for me. A basic plan is here attached. Thank you for your help.
