Looking to see if there is a way to rotate a shape/item smoothly to align with other items in my drawing. Currently using a CAD imported background and I'm trying to align a rectangle that was drawn in Stardraw to the walls of the floorplan background. No matter how far I zoom in to try to rotate the rectangle I drew to align perfectly with the wall's angle in the drawing it will not align. It's like the rotation tool is working in steps/notches and they aren't small enough. This happens even when snap to grid is off. Any insight?

The problem with using the Rotate Tool without Snapping is that you are manipulating an Object in World Space - which could be several meters in length using pixels on the screen in Device Space.
If you want to specifically rotate an Object, you should try the Rotate Option under the Arrange Menu as this will bring up a Dialog where you can type in the exact Rotation that you desire.
I trust that this gives you what you need and please do not hesitate to respond here if you have any further questions.
