I'm having an extremely hard time creating a report that will give me a Bill of Materials, including Manufacturer, Model, Description, Qty, along with Room & Location attribute data - i.e. Room 1415 with Location of Rack, Ceiling, Wall, etc. I assumed there was an easy way to do this as this is a very common need, and it's not one of the pre-built reports. From the Products Tool in the dashboard I can sort by attributes at the top and get the filtered list I need but there is no way to export that filtered list like you can with Cables. I've spent some time poking around how reports are built and sunk a decent amount of time into this and I'm just not coming up with what I need. Is there any way to get assistance with this or have a report template built for me that I can import? Am I missing something? Thank you.

Hi Michael,

Assuming you are using the Stardraw Design 7.4 Beta then you would use the Report Designer and my recommendation would be to take a template that is close to what you need and tweak that, for example, take Summary Reports | Cost by Room and swap out the Cost field for Location.  This would give you a BoM grouped by Room, with Qty, Manufacturer, Model Number, Description and Location.

Incidentally, we're hard at work on the next update to the Beta and this will include the ability to export just the fields you have chosen to display in the Products View.
