No, to remove or replace products from a drawing/project they must be deleted from the drawing/project.

I think you're asking about a global Search/Replace function.  Such a function does not exist: it would be problematic to have this function for drawings because even if the new product is a similar type of thing e.g. an amplifier, the new symbol might have very different inputs and outputs, or a different layout, so the replacement might be connected incorrectly or not at all.

It's much, much safer to make such substitutions manually.
