Rob,

Thanks for your reply, and , yes, a restart sort my problem out.

Looking forward to see the properties frame update.

Hi Chris,

Selection rectangle - no, this is not normal and must be machine-specific. The first thing to check is that Windows is up to date; even if you think it is, perform a Windows Update and accept all Critical and Recommended updates. Repeat until no further Critical/Recommended updates are listed.

Also ensure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card - check at the manufacturer's website.

The Properties Grid behavior when you have selected multiple objects of different types is by design, but that design is under review and we hope to publish an update with improved Properties Grid behavior in due course - please bear with us.

Kind regards,
Rob Robinson

Hi Rob,

I can't explain why it took me such a long time to notice this, unless I currently have a bug but I just notice that when I want to select a few elements on my drawing, the rectangle of selection doesn't appear on the screen.
Eventually I can only find out what I succeeded to select after I release the mouse by looking at the little red dots that appears around what is eventually selected.

Is this normal?

Another thing that I noticed with regards to the selection process, I notice that once products and cables are included in a selection, the property frame is empty.
This is a pain when you want to affect an attribute to several products at the same time when cables are already drawn. The solution is to select all the products using shift and then change the attribute...bof !
An alternative (that I introduced in the "cable tool improvement" document that I'm about to give you) is to have some sort of selection filter allowing to ignore cable from a selection rectangle.
