You showed the very cool way to import images/pictures from other programs into Design7 but for now what is the best (and easiest) way to copy images from the web or from other programs into AV2007.
I have done this in AV2007 from time to time in the past but it was a real crap shoot if and when it worked. I haven't needed to do this in a while but I have an immediate need for a Client event happening in the couple of days.
When I try to copy the image from a website the Error Window apears and states - Failed to create object. Make sure the object is entered in the system registry.
In yesterday's webinar you copied a jpeg into Design7. Does the image need to be a jpeg? What type of file extensions are/will be allowed in AV2007 & Design7?
Please reply ASAP or sooner so I can put this project to bed.

You can insert any kind of file into AV 2007, so long as you have 1) an OLE compatible application installed that is 2) associated with that filetype in the correct way.
The problem, therefore, with OLE technology is that it is very machine dependent and can require work in the Registry to make it work as desired. See http://www.stardraw.com/products/stardrawav/FAQ.asp?FAQ=019&AppName=AV
In Stardraw Design 7 Beta we employ a better solution to the issue of using picture files in drawings: simply use the Insert Picture button - it supports BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF. Kind regards,Rob RobinsonStardraw.com
