In Stardraw Design, when I create a User Defined Product, the description I enter in the first window (the one that shows the product hierarchy) is sometimes different from the description in the Edit Block Schematic Symbol window.

When I update and view the Product Attributes spreadsheet in Excel, this results in two separate rows for what is actually the same product.

Is there a way to keep these descriptions different for schematic purposes, but still have the Excel export generate only one product entry?

Could you please point me to the exact steps or settings where this can be adjusted?

Thanks!

Stardraw Design 7.4 and, therefore, the Product Attributes spreadsheet identify Products by Manufacturer, Model Number and Description (which are special, reserved properties) so if you have different values for any of those 3 key criteria then it is deemed to be a different product.

Rather than using the reserved Description field for an arbitrary, changeable value in your symbols, use an Attribute instead. See the movie Text Attributes, #17 at https://www.stardraw.com/sd7/movies
