Hi,

We've got a couple of users in our office who have a substantial library of user defined products saved locally.  We'd like to move these over to cloud storage, and combine them so that we all have access to each others work.

I'm aware that we need to use the same login, which isn't a problem, but is it possible to move all sets of UDPs over? Would they automatically sync if we just login with the shared account?  (I don't want to do anything that would overwrite their existing work).

Thanks

Philip

Hi Philip,

Just to clarify, all UDPs are stored on the Cloud and each machine that you use contains a local copy.  This means that whatever happens locally, e.g. if you have a catastrophic HDD failure, your UDPs are safe and sound in Cloud storage.

Currently it is not possible to merge or share UDP libraries between different user accounts.  As you point out, the way to share a common UDP library is to have each person log in with the same account ID, i.e. using a common email address.

If your UDPs typically contain a single symbol our recommendation would be that User 1 loads up a project containing the UDPs of User 2, select each symbol then rightclick and choose Create User Defined Product from Selection.  This will add the symbol to User 1's UDP library and you just need to enter the text for Manufacturer, Model Number and Description.

I hope this is helpful.

Kind regards,
