I imported an old .s01 file into SD7.... that was fine, when I closed the file I hit save. Now I can't open that particular .s01 file in SD 2007 or SD7. Old SD tells me "unexpected file format", and SD7 says I can't import SD7 files. If I just click on the file in the file browser it chooses the old format to open. The extension remains .s01.

Try changing the extension on the file to .S07 and use File | Open to open it in SD7 - does that solve the problem?
