Hi Rob,
Can you suggest me the way to draw cable in a straight line if we have not selected snap to grid option? Is there any simpler way like in StarDraw AV we can draw straight line by pressing shift key?

Kind Regards,

Hi Kant,

Why is snap to grid off?  All symbols have IOs on or relative to gridpoints so if you turn snap to grid off, you're just making life difficult for yourself.  Schematics and cables are designed to be drawn with snap to grid on.

I agree.. Some objects, while snap to grid is activated, will snap at an angle. It is just the way it is drawn. Having the option of holding down the shift key would make these object lines look way smoother and cleaner.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your input.  You can enforce horizontal/vertical orientation by toggling Orthogonal Lock.  To turn Orthogonal Lock on or off while in the middle of a drawing action use the shortcut F7 on your keyboard.
