connections issues with proxy's

Hi there,

ok so I have been searching this forum here and found a couple of issues regarding proxy server connections. But I am still stumped, perhaps because I missed information here and there.

So anyhow, we here are required to connect through a proxy server on the typical port 80. I have to login in order to use IE (at least for now) and I can also set IE to remember the password, so I'm wondering if I have to do the same somehow within Stardraw, because it will not allow me to connect. Even for just the email and password screen.

Here is the error that I am getting:

"The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server."

When I choose "forgotten password"; "view details" show me references that the remote server cannot be reached and that a proxy authorization is required. Well when I login to IE and leave it open, Stardraw still doesn't connect.

I know, I know, it is a setup thing on our side with ports and authorization issues and perhaps maybe a .dll or .ini hack for Stardraw. But I figured I would ask anyway to see what your thoughts were before I talk to my IT guy.

Thanks for the help,

Tom,

We've now added proxy server support to Stardraw Control.

The next time you run Stardraw Control with an Internet connection, it will prompt you that there are updates. After installing the updates and starting a new project, you can choose Proxy Settings... from the Tools menu. Here you can enter whether you use the System Proxy Settings, whether you are connected directly to the Internet or you can specify your server and port number of your proxy server.

You will, of course, have to be connected to the internet without a proxy server in order to perform the update, but once updated, you can then connect back through the proxy server.
