Live Update dongle problem?

Hi,
I've recently reloaded Stardraw audio on a new build of my laptop.

I only have a few manufacturers in my offline library, so I want to add some more.

I went to do a liveupdate on the web and it gets to the bit where it checks the dongle and just can't find it!

If I try and check my Dongle in 'support' it can't tell me what my dongle number is, but doesn't report any error.

If I try and programme the dongle it just sits there trying to find it.

"Please wait while we detect your dongle..."

Whats up . . . . . ?

Is there another way to do this?

Hi Graggs,

By 'new build' I am assuming that there have been some significant changes to your configuration, perhaps including an upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2.  We'd like to get some more information:

1) Does Stardraw Audio see the dongle, i.e. what dongle number is displayed when you select Help | About Stardraw...

2) Are you running Windows XP Service Pack 2? If so see the attached image.  The Status Bar may show that there have been "Errors on the Page" and the Info Bar will invite you to click to install required files.  By default Internet Explorer now blocks the installation of required files and you need to notice the message and confirm the installation manually.

3) Make sure you have the latest dongle drivers: download and install the following:

http://www.stardraw.com/downloads/hasp.exe

Please let me know how you get on, particularly if the above actions do not resolve the problem.

sorry, I should know better ...

Dell D800 Latitude lappie. W2K all latest service packs etc

StarDRAW Audio sees the dongle and works fine.

BUT, something you typed .... IE Do people still use this rubbish, of course they do ..... LEMMINGS!

The problem is your live update doesn't support Mozilla!

I just tried IE and it worked fine......

Doing an update now.

How annoying.
