Text rotation vs size

Hello,

im trying out Stardraw and working my way through the tutorial. in Lesson 3 i'm playing with text. I noticed something strange happened when trying to produce the example in the tutorial. If i place text and rotate it EXACTLY 180 degrees (with the rotate tool or with the position toolbar) the text suddenly gets about 2x as large (?). In any other angle than 180 degrees it's fine.

What's up?

Hi Richard,

Can you post a drawing that contains normal text and text that exhibits the problem you describe - we can then see if we can reproduce the problem.  Thanks.

Hello Rob,

I'm not sure how to add a drawing (attachment) to a forum post. Should i send it to you through PM?

Hello Rob,

Never mind, it seems to work now (i tried sending through PM and got an error message

The application encountered an unexpected problem.

Unexpected Problem Occurred!

This error has been logged. If this problem persists please contact the web master. )

With a normal reply it works, so the requested file is attached.

The 'upside down' text 'hello and 'text' started out the same size as the rotated text with the grey background. I never adjusted the size; this happened when rotating at 180 degrees.

Hello Rob,

some extra information. When i rotate the text it 'disappears' when rotating at 180 degrees. Only the 'handles' are visible. If i adjust the scale by grabbing one of the handles the text reappears. So im not sure if the text really gets larger or that it reappears as a result of the scaling action.

I just found out that if i select a 'print preview', the text is visible although it doesn't show on the screen.
