Hi

When trying to install Stardraw Lighting 2D 2007 on a machine running windows vista the installation stops just before completion with the following error message - "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. Error code is 2869."

I am logged on as an administrator using a freshly downloaded installation .exe file and have tried the installation many times with differing users/configurations with the same result. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Many thanks

Can you try right clicking on the executable and select "Run as Administrator"?

Please let us know if you continue to have any problems.

Unfortunately it doesn't give me that option, just 'install'. I've tried it logged on as myself (an administrator),the machine administrator, & the network administrator. I've not had to logon as anyone else to install any other software, so far...................

In Vista, it doesn't matter if you have administrative privileges on your machine - you still can't perform any adminitrative tasks without being elevated to administrator level temporarily and for that process only.

To download the setup.exe that will prompt you to raise your privilege, please download to the same directory that you downloaded your Stardraw Lighting 2D 2007.msi file and run:

That's worked - thank you
