hi
is it possible to export a dwg file with measures such as drilling hole sizes, from a panel layout that contains neutrik connectors and generic panels ?
the plan is to have a metal workshop to do custom rackpanels from drawings made in SD 7
thanx in advance

Hi Magnus,
Yes, this is the purpose of the Metalwork view in Panel Layout drawings - choose the Metalwork view in the toolbar (the icon shows a hammer) and the drawing will show cutouts and engraving only.
The drawing is at 1:1 scale so it can be output directly to a CNC mill - the metal workshop will know how to do this.
It should not be necessary to add dimensions if going direct to CNC fabrication, but you can add measurements, if you wish, using the Dimension tool.

Hi Rob in the Metalwork view, i dont see any measures och drilling-hole diameters. But are they seen in the exported file ?

Hi Magnus, No, dimensions are not included - they would need to be added manually -,but if the workshop is using a CNC mill then the drawing is output directly to the mill which simply cuts the holes and etches the engraving as it is laid out in the drawing. A CNC mill effectively 'prints' the cutouts and engraving, to metal. I recommend that you check with your metal worker exactly what information they require.
