Hi,
is it possible to add document fields manually? I would need some like "date created" and "date changed", etc.

Hi Felix,

In the recent update (Build 25/02/2022) we added support to expose all Text Attributes in a Title Block so that they can have values set in the Properties Grid after the Title Block has been inserted.

A Text Attribute is text of the format "[Attribute Name]"

So, you can edit the Title Block to include Text Attributes such as "[Date Changed]" and then set the value after the Title Block has been inserted. (There is no way, currently, to change the fields shown in the Insert Title Block dialog).  When you select the inserted Title Block you'll see an Attribute in the Properties Grid called "Date Changed" - just type in a value and it will appear in the inserted Title Block.

For movies on Text Attributes and how to customize Title Blocks see https://www1.stardraw.com/stardraw2/sd7/movies

I hope this is helpful.

The fields that start [Document\....] will take their values from the fields in the Insert Title Block dialog.

You should just use [Attribute Name] e.g. [Date Changed] to create specific Text Attributes for the Title Block template.

Hi SD Team,

Is there a way to retrieve the drawing name (tab) in a field of a title block ?

Thank you,
Hughes

Hi Hughes,

Currently, no; it is not possible to reference the text of the drawing tab.  By design the Title of the drawing (used by the Title Block) should be entered when the Title Block is first inserted, and this value is persisted in the drawing in the event that you choose to change the Title Block.
