Drag a product from the Stardraw products list. Connect both inputs and outputs to other devices. Add an input stub and label by using 'unlock' feature and copying an existing one. Group the product with the new input stub/label. Go to 'Products' view in Dashboard. Newly 'grouped' product is no longer shown used.... Ungroup and the device is magically shows "used".
Maybe it's just me.

Hi Ray,
Thanks for your post - actually the behavior is expected due to the way hierarchies work.
I need to stress in the strongest possible terms that you should not attempt to add things to symbols that represent products in drawings using the Unlock cursor; this is counter to the purpose of the Unlock cursor which has been designed to edit or delete elements within symbols, but cannot add elements to that symbol.
If you need to add a port to a symbol, what you're really doing is creating a new product, so the correct procedure is to create a User Defined Product (UDP) and add the port(s) in the Symbol Editor.
The correct workflow, if you want to create a new product from an existing one, is therefore: 1. Rightclick on the Product or Symbol and choose Create User Defined Product from Product. 2. When the UDP is shown in the Product Browser rightclick on it and choose Edit Symbols 3. In the Symbol Editor copy the ports you want, or use the Symbol Browser to add new ports which you can find under Stardraw Online Symbols | Symbol Components | Block Schematic | Inputs etc.
Only by adding ports to a UDP symbol in the Symbol Editor will the correct hierarchy be maintained, and connection points added on-the-fly.
i hope this is helpful.
