Would it be possible to add Remote License Release? It's helpful that when there are no licenses left the software will tell you which computers are holding them, but having to go to that computer and start the software to release the license seems like an unnecessary step. We end up having to have TeamViewer on all of our machines just to be able to jump across from different work areas (home, laptop, office) to go start the software and release the license. We're a small company, so we wouldn't really have an issue with the possibility that you could remotely release a license that was actually in use elsewhere. I'm sure you could monitor whether the software was running on the licensed machine with a simple heartbeat signal to the license server.
Alternatively, offer a setting in the software (or a pop-up question on exit) to automatically release the license any time the software is closed. Thanks!

We do not plan on permitting remote license release at user level - this is for reasons of security - but we can remotely release a license for you if you find yourselves unable to access a machine that holds a license.
Instead of closing the software you can use File | Sign Out and this will release the current license and shut down Stardraw Design 7.2. There is a startup option, switched on by default, to "Automatically Sign Me In" so using Sign Out adds no steps to the application exit and startup process and it's the recommended procedure for working in the scenario you have described. I hope this is helpful.

I would love to see a preference / option to release the license on program close automatically. Just basically trigger the sign out routine on program close. Obviously if that doesn't happen (due to computer crash, no connectivity, etc), then the license stays attached - maybe a popup warning or something that the sign out was not successful. This would not circumvent your security at all. It is the way most other concurrent user software behaves, and would help us avoid all of the times someone forgets the extra steps.

Hi Dustin, Yes, a user setting to "Release License on Exit" is something we are exploring.

Is there any progress on this request please?
Thanks

Hi Philip,
Yes, this was introduced in Stardraw Design 7.3 and can be accessed via Tools | Personalization | Settings.
