Greetings, I would like to find out if there is a solution to copying custom blocks from one page to another and losing their alignment when pasted.

Hi Jerry,

The simplest fix, if symbols fall off the grid for any reason, is to use Arrange | Align to Grid | Symbol Origins.  This works on a single symbol, or across a multiple selection that contains many symbols.

We'll investigate further, but I hope this provides a quick and easy fix to the issue you've experienced.

I have been using the align symbols method to correct it.  But, I shouldn't have to do it!  It slows down the drawing process.  Hopefully a fix will be in a future release.

Hi Jerry,

Thank you for sending the video - it was a great help in tracking down the issue which only occurred when the destination view was beyond the world co-ordinates of the original objects.

We have now published an update that fixes the problem, ensuring that objects that started on the grid when copied, stay on the grid when pasted.

Next time you run SD7.2 please Accept Updates to get the latest version with this fix.
