Seems odd that once an update has completed, Stardraw reloads but displays a "Trial Information" popup. (Not recognizing the key still in the USB slot...?)
Is it just me or does everyone have to shut it down (again) and reload to have it know this a paid/licensed version.

Ray,
There used to be a problem with the dongle driver not recognising the dongle when running in administrator mode, however, we haven't seen this problem for a while.
Can you make sure you have all the latest Windows Updates, including optional hardware, such as the Sentinel/HASP driver.
Do please let us know if you continue to have this problem even after you have all the latest Windows Updates.

Current as of last update a day or so ago. Problem has been consistent across Windows updates.

To check which version of Dongle Driver you have, can you click on: http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html It should show version 3.25
If it does, could you also provide a little more information on your system? What version of Windows are you running? Do you have administrative privilege on your machine by default, or do you have to log in with different credentials when prompted? Can you also confirm that you are running Stardraw Design 7.1? Do you see the same problem if you right click on the Stardraw Design 7.1 shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator"?

To answer your questions: What version of Windows are you running? [Windows 7] Do you have administrative privilege on your machine by default, or do you have to log in with different credentials when prompted? [Admin by default] Can you also confirm that you are running Stardraw Design 7.1? [Yes] Do you see the same problem if you right click on the Stardraw Design 7.1 shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator"? [Would have to try that the next time SD updates are released.]

Ray, You don't have to wait for updates before running the program as an administrator. Please try right-clicking on the Shortcut to the program and choose "Run as Admiinistrator" from the menu. This will elevate the program to Administrative level and should cause the same symptoms as you experience when accepting updates.

Just did an update of SD7.1 & the Trial Information popped up again. Think it happened whenever I did an update. My dongle is from The legacy Stardraw Audio days; though. - A check on the dongle subscription says - Stardraw Audio '13 Is there a dongle subscription check for SD7?

Hi Reeve,
It sounds like your dongle is not being recognized by your computer. Is the dongle plugged in and the light on?
To rectify:
- Perform a Windows Update and accept all Critical and Important Updates. If a SafeNet USB dongle driver update is listed be sure to accept that.
- Reboot your PC
- Run SD7.1
- Use Help | About Stardraw Design 7.1 to check the dongle status.

For those following this thread, an update has been published that solves the issue which only affected users with older (5 years+) dongles.
Our thanks go to Reeve for helping us to identify and resolve the issue so quickly.

Loaded the update.
It does, in fact, appear to have resolved the "Why does SD think I'm running in Trial Mode?" question.
Thanks!!
