Hi Rob,
I'm currently working on a new project that is a little bit different than usually.
Basically it is a pre-wiring of a theater. So it is composed of a combination of 46 panels or boxes connected together. I obviously will spend a century to draw all of those panels accurately (hoping the cut out bugs mentioned years ago on the XLR are corrected, still remember all the holes I had to enlarge to fit the connectors) when done, I would enjoy making a schematic diagram in order to be able to export a cable list. Now to draw my cables and document properly the cable list I would need to convert each of those boxes into a symbol. Of course the panel are already named and fully detailed so in an ideal world I would just convert them into product that would have the same name and cable connection as per the number connector on the panels.
How much of a lucky Stardraw owner am I ?
Thanks
Christian

Hi Chris,
Happy New Year! - Thanks for the comments elsewhere on the forum, and for this.
I think it will be a fairly simple matter for you to create a User Defined Product for each panel type (select the panel and rightclick) then you can use the UDP Wizard to add other types of smbol to represent the panel: once the initial UDP has been created, rightclick on it in the Product Browser, choose Edit Product, and then you can add whatever symbols you want.
Does this give you what you need?
